Claire Sargeant - Dickson

 Claire Sargeant - Dickson

Claire is the owner and Managing Director of Movement Improvement Ltd.

Claire has been known as 'Claire V. Sargeant' in the health and fitness field in Hong Kong since 1994 but in May 2005 she proudly got married to John and is now using her married name of Dickson. In September 2008 Claire became a mum to Jack, a beautiful baby boy, and she now juggles her time between being a full time mum, running the company and teaching as many classes as time allows.

Originally from the UK, Claire is an internationally recognised Personal Trainer, Group Fitness, Pilates and Yoga Instructor, and holds 3 Speciality Awards from the American Council of Exercise (ACE).

Liz Rawson

Liz Rawson

Liz joined Movement Improvement in 2008 in the capacity of Operations Manager. Originally from the UK, she has been living in Hong Kong for the past 12 years and is married with 3 children. Liz enjoys the buzz of working in a busy office, managing the clients and instructors and in her spare time, loves hiking the hills around Discovery Bay, travelling anywhere and everywhere, and is currently studying to qualify as a Diet and Nutrition Consultant.

Claudia Hung Mei Lei

Claudia is a local sport enthusiast with over 10-year experience in practising Aerobics, Aqua Fitness, Yoga, Pilates, Indoor Cycling and Taekwondo. Being a certified instructor, she enjoys teaching classes in 3 languages: English, Cantonese and Mandarin. Claudia strongly believes being healthy and fit is not a dream but a goal to reach. Everyone can be fit both physically and mentally if they know the right way to start. Claudia is an attentive and patient instructor who knows how to guide you gradually to achieve your goals. Yes, it takes time to improve our well-being but she will make it a joyful journey for you. Claudia is very comfortable teaching to students of all nationalities, having taught in the UK, Australia, Mexico, the U.S. and Hong Kong. Now she's excited to share her knowledge and experiences with her students in Hong Kong again!

Heidi Higson

Heidi Higson

Heidi has been in Hong Kong and a local of DB for many years and in that time has become very well qualified in Pilates and Gyrotonics with Polestar Pilates Asia, a world wide organisation and supported by the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) of America . She has a lovely soft demeanour and shows great care when teaching. Heidi's strength lies in Personal Training, book a session with her to improve on your techniques and learn from Heidi's keen eye how you move and improve upon your skill level, body control and strength.

Roxana Chick (Rox, Rocky!!)

Roxana Chick was born and bred in Western Australia and has been living in Discovery Bay since 1999. Happily married and a proud mother of two young boys, Roxana loves working with Movement Improvement in an administrative capacity. She has participated in the Pregnancy Pilates and Allegro classes and is now learning Pole Fit, finding all the classes lots of fun and personally beneficial.

Yuko Matsumura

Even though she was born in Japan, she considers Hong Kong, where she has spent most of her teen-age years, her "home." After U.S., Middle East and U.K, her husband's work brought Yuko back to Hong Kong 7 years ago. Being certified in Group Exercise, Aqua Fitness and Personal Training in Australia and Japan, she taught these exercises in Bahrain (Middle East) and Japan for 7 years. On her return to Hong Kong Yuko came to know Pilates and fell in love with the exercise format. She is fully qualified through Polestar Pilates as a Mat Instructor and also Studio instructor, which requires extensive knowledge of all the Pilates equipment. Currently, she is studying Gyrokinesis® and Gyrotonics to add them to her repertoire. Her belief is "Positive attitude is the key for fitness and wellness."

Christa den Boogert

Christa den Boogert

Christa has worked with MI since January 2007 and still thoroughly enjoys the interaction with clients. She is on a mission to bring leaner legs, bootilicious bums and amazing abs to the ladies of DB! So, if you are looking for work-outs targetting all those problem areas, then Christa's classes are the one to attend! She is a Group Fitness Instructor with certifications in Theraband, Body-Bar, Stability Ball, PowerPlate and Gliding. She is also a qualified Weight-Loss Consultant and has recently become an NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Christa is a mother of two and enjoys Dragonboating, Outrigger Canoeing, hiking and exploring Hong Kong and the rest of Asia.

Dr. Jennifer Jo Cornelius, M.D. (USA)

Doctor Cornelius began practicing yoga in 1988 at Cornell University in order to decrease stress and sharpen mental focus. She then went on to receive her Doctorate in Medicine from Thomas Jefferson Medical College in 1997. While practicing primary care medicine, she obtained her Certificate for Yoga Therapy from the School for Integrative Yoga Therapy in 2003. She currently works for a Critical Care Air Ambulance Service based in Hong Kong but looks forward to teaching yoga on her days off. She enjoys integrating her Western medical knowledge with the healing powers of yoga to help make yoga accessible to all. She is married to her best friend, Scott, and has two energetic and beautiful sons, Jake and Max.

Tracy Falle

Tracy Falle

Tracy was introduced to Yoga in 1998 while living in Toronto, Canada and quickly learned that Yoga is a wonderful way to help bring balance to both body and mind. After moving to Hong Kong in 2000, she continued to practice Yoga and in 2004 joined a Yoga Alliance Yoga Teacher Training Program. Tracy graduated the program in 2005 and has been teaching group classes and private classes in Hong Kong ever since. A new arrival to Discovery Bay, after many years on HK Island, Tracy is looking forward to bringing her knowledge and experience to this wonderful community. Zara Horner

Zara has been a lifelong sports player and fitness fanatic. Upon arriving in Hong Kong she decided to convert her passion into a profession, qualifying as a Personal Trainer with the prestigious Asian Academy for Sports Fitness Professionals and subsequently gaining qualifications as an aerobics, fitball and kickboxing instructor. Zara now works exclusively in Discovery Bay, having previously taught classes at several of Hong Kong's premier gyms and private members' clubs. With a background of journalism Zara frequently makes freelance contributions to several Hong Kong publications on issues of health and fitness.
